These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By accessing our site and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

The Win-Win: We make shopping seamless by allowing guest checkouts, but creating an account unlocks order tracking and exclusive rewards.
Your Part: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during checkout or account creation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

1. Product Authenticity, Care, and Pricing

Handcrafted Nature: PRAREKA specializes in fashion jewellery, including gold-plated, silver-toned, and artisanal floral or daily-wear designs. Because many pieces feature hand-finished details, slight variations in color, texture, and size may occur. We view these not as flaws, but as unique signatures of craftsmanship.
Product Care: To maintain the longevity and luster of your jewellery, it must be kept away from water, perfumes, harsh chemicals, and stored in a dry, airtight pouch. PRAREKA cannot be held liable for damage caused by improper product care and wear-and-tear.
Pricing: All prices listed on our website are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to modify prices or discontinue items at any time without prior notice. However, once an order is confirmed, the price for that order is locked and guaranteed.

3. Ordering, Shipping, and Delivery

Order Acceptance: After placing an order, you will receive an automated confirmation email. In rare instances (e.g., unexpected stock stockouts or logistical errors), we reserve the right to cancel an order. If this happens, we will notify you immediately and issue a full refund.
Shipping & Timeline: We partner with reliable courier services to ensure your jewellery arrives safely. Estimated delivery timelines are provided at checkout. While we strive to meet these dates, occasional delays due to weather or courier transit issues may happen. We appreciate your patience and will always provide tracking details so you can monitor your package.

4. Payment Terms & Prepaid Order Policy

Payment Methods: We accept secure online payments via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, and verified Digital Wallets. Cash on Delivery (COD) may be available for eligible pin code
The Prepaid Advantage (Win-Win): To ensure priority processing and faster dispatch, we encourage prepaid orders. Prepaid orders are eligible for free shipping [or insert specific perk, e.g., an automatic 5% discount / a complimentary velvet storage pouch].
Prepaid Fraud Prevention & Security: To protect both the business and our customers, all prepaid transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways. If our system flags a transaction as high-risk or potentially fraudulent, we reserve the right to pause shipment and request a quick identity verification before dispatching the items. If verification is not provided within 48 hours, the order will be cancelled and fully refunded to the original payment source.

5. Order Cancellation Window

Before Dispatch: Because we pride ourselves on fast processing, you can cancel your order (whether prepaid or COD) within 6 hours of placing it for a full refund.
After Dispatch: Once an order has been handed over to our courier partner, it cannot be cancelled or modified. If a prepaid order is refused at the doorstep upon delivery, a restocking and two-way shipping fee of ₹130 will be deducted before processing your refund.

6. Coupon, Discount, and Promotional Code Policy

The Rule: From time to time, PRAREKA may offer promotional codes, festive discounts, or influencer referral perks.
The Win-Win: Only one (1) promotional code can be applied per order unless explicitly stated otherwise. Coupon codes cannot be clubbed with existing site-wide sales or automated discounts.
Expiry and Reversal: Coupon codes have strict expiration dates. If you cancel an order where a one-time-use promotional code was applied, that specific coupon cannot be re-used or reinstated for future purchases.

7. Partial Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy

The Commitment Rule: To maintain high quality standards and protect our logistics framework from casual or non-serious bookings, PRAREKA operates on a Partial COD system for all orders selecting the Cash on Delivery payment method.
The 50:50 Structure: To confirm a COD order, customers are required to pay a non-refundable 50% advance payment online at the time of checkout via UPI, Credit/Debit card, or Net Banking. The remaining 50% balance amount must be paid in cash or via digital wallet directly to the courier executive upon physical delivery of the package.
Order Verification: A COD order will only be processed and dispatched from our warehouse once the 50% advance payment is successfully received and verified. If the advance payment is not completed within 2 hours of placing the booking, the order will be automatically cancelled by our system.
Doorstep Refusal Policy: Because a specific piece is locked and shipped exclusively for you, if a partial-COD order is refused at the doorstep or returned to our facility after 3 failed delivery attempts due to customer unavailability, the 50% advance payment will be entirely forfeited to cover the forward shipping, reverse shipping, and warehouse restocking costs incurred by PRAREKA.

8. Returns, Exchanges, and Refund Policy

Our Win-Win Promise: We want you to love your PRAREKA pieces. If a product arrives damaged or incorrect, we will make it right immediately.
Damaged or Wrong Items: If your order arrives damaged during transit or if you received the wrong item, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery at [enquiry@prareka.in] with an unboxing video or clear photos. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund.
Standard Returns/Exchanges: For hygiene and safety reasons regarding wearable jewellery, we can only accept returns or exchanges on unworn, unaltered items in their original packaging within 3 days of delivery. Reverse shipping charges may apply depending on the nature of the return.

9. Non-Delivery and RTO (Return to Origin) Scenarios

Accurate Delivery Info: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an accurate shipping address, a valid phone number, and a correct PIN code.
Delivery Attempts: Our courier partners will make up to three (3) delivery attempts and will attempt to call you.
Prepaid RTO: If a prepaid package is returned to our warehouse (RTO) due to an incorrect address, uncontactable phone number, or repeated unavailability of the recipient, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. However, the customer will be liable to pay the additional re-shipping fee before the package is sent out a second time.

10. Tamper-Evident Security Tags & Packaging

The No-Tamper Rule: To ensure absolute authenticity and hygiene, select PRAREKA jewelry pieces arrive with a prominent, tamper-evident security tag or seal attached.
The Win-Win: You are welcome to try the jewelry on against your outfit to check the fit and look while the tag is intact. However, once this security tag is cut, removed, torn, broken, or tampered with in any manner, the item becomes completely ineligible for return, exchange, or refund.
Packaging Integrity: All items must be returned in their original packaging, including the designer box, protective bubble wrap, velvet pouches, and any complimentary care cards or gifts that were included in the shipment.

11. Mandatory Parcel Opening Video (Transit Damage Claims)

Security Packaging: Every PRAREKA shipment leaves our facility in a secure, tamper-proof outer courier bag.
The Rule for Claims: To protect both parties against fraudulent transit claims or courier theft, a continuous, unedited unboxing video is strictly mandatory to claim refunds or replacements for missing items or physical transit damage.
Video Requirements: The video must clearly show the courier label, prove that the outer parcel packaging was completely sealed and unbroken before opening, and show the entire unboxing process in a single, uninterrupted shot. Claims made without an unboxing video, or with a video recorded after the package was already opened, will not be entertained under any circumstances.

12. Intellectual Property

1. All content on this website—including the PRAREKA brand name, logo, product designs, text, graphics, images, and marketing material—is the exclusive property of PRAREKA.
2. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our intellectual property for commercial purposes without our express written consent.

13. Fair Use & Customer Conduct

1. Anti-Wardrobing Policy: At PRAREKA, we cherish our community and trust our customers completely. However, to protect our small business from “wardrobing” (the practice of buying jewellery to wear once for an event/social media photoshoot and then returning it), all items undergo a strict quality check upon return. If an item shows signs of use, perfume scents, makeup stains, or physical wear, the return will be rejected, and the item will be shipped back to the customer.
2. Policy Abuse: We reserve the right to flag, suspend, or permanently block accounts or addresses that display a pattern of excessive cancellations, fraudulent return claims, or abuse of our support team.

14. Strict Anti-Fraud & Cyber Security Policy

1. Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use our website or services for any fraudulent or malicious activities, including but not limited to: Using stolen credit cards, compromised UPI IDs, or unauthorized payment credentials. Falsely claiming non-delivery or item shortage when courier tracking proves otherwise. Initiating bad-faith chargebacks with your bank or payment gateway. Attempting to breach our website security, introducing viruses, or scraping data.
2. Legal Action: PRAREKA monitors IP addresses and transaction signatures. Any fraudulent transaction, malicious order cancellation pattern, or attempt to cheat our system will result in immediate cancellation of all current orders, permanent blocking from our platform, and a formal report filed with the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and local law enforcement in Lucknow.

15. Limitation of Liability

1. PRAREKA aims to provide a secure, error-free website experience. However, we do not guarantee that the site will be completely uninterrupted or free of minor technical glitches.
2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PRAREKA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our maximum liability to you for any product purchased will not exceed the purchase price of that specific item.

16. Product Imagery & Color Disclaimers

1. Visual Accuracy: We shoot our product imagery in high-resolution, professional studio lighting to showcase the intricate textures and true colors of our jewelry.
2. The Reality Check: Because digital screens differ across smartphones, laptops, and tablets, slight variances in color tone or sparkle may occur between your screen display and the physical product. Such minor variations do not qualify as a “defective product” claim.

17. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control)

1. The Protection: PRAREKA strives to deliver every piece of jewellery on time. However, we shall not be held liable or responsible for any delay, failure to deliver, or website downtime caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
2. What it Covers: This includes, but is not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather conditions, government-imposed lockdowns or restrictions, transport strikes, courier system failures, cyber-attacks, or civil disruptions. In such events, our delivery timelines will automatically be extended by the duration of the disruption.

18. Indemnification

1. The Legal Shield: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PRAREKA, its owner, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms and Conditions, your misuse of the website, or your violation of any third-party rights.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

20. Changes to Terms and Conditions

1. We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. The “Effective Date” at the top will indicate when the latest updates were made.

21. Severability

1. The Technical Safeguard: If any specific clause or provision within these Terms and Conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction (such as the courts in Lucknow) to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that specific clause will be separated from the document. The remaining clauses of the Terms and Conditions will continue to remain fully valid, binding, and in effect.
